Description

The company manufactures speciality barrier papers for worldwide distribution to diverse types of industry. The original company was set up in 1841 by the Blackwell family, and specialised in the early twentieth century in bitumenised products. It has been through a number of ownerships and at one stage in the early 1960's had up to 300 employees. The current ownership has owned the company since 1990 in a management buyout and is now a family run company by the Cornford family. The product range has changed with the times and is producing greener products that are bio-degradeable, and the bitumenise papers has become a lesser part of our business. Our client base includes the M.O.D., Female Hygiene Industry, Drink Manufacturers, Food Manufacttureres, the Steel Industry, Car Manufacturers, amongst many other industries.
