After 34 years with Royal Bank of Scotland of which, 29 has been working with clients in the healthcare market I am offering consultancy services to businesses within the healthcare sector including :- Doctors Dentist Pharmacy Opticians Vets Chiropractor / Osteopath / Physiotherapist Residential / Nursing Homes Working with many different healthcare businesses has given me a good understanding of what helps to make a practice successful. Using this experience, together with the knowledge gained from my commercial banking career and as a NHS Governor guidance and advice is available in the following areas : • Business Performance / Focus reviews – regular meetings with key players in the business to focus attention on areas important to the business at that point in time. This could include for example current performance, future strategy, succession planning but would be tailored to the individual business. Often the day to day operation of the business takes over – by setting time aside for these review meetings, the management team can focus on the wider picture with the benefit of an external and independent viewpoint. • Business restructuring – advice on mergers / changes in partnership / ownership and the financial requirements to support these. • Premises development – guidance in finding the right premises to meet market requirements, use of professionals including architects, solicitors etc and sourcing of finance. • Financial reviews – full review of existing banking facilities both in respect of best terms available, serviceability and if the current terms are still right for the business. • Project Management / Development – advice with one off projects
