Formed in 2015, GAK Advisory is a specialist, independent Corporate Finance and Advisory firm which focuses on advising governments, Sovereign Wealth Funds, public and private corporations and institutions and family offices, on a wide range of corporate finance matters. This includes M&A, debt and equity capital markets financings, private capital raising, capital structuring, and corporate restructuring and governance, across all major industry sectors. Led by Ghassan Abdul Karim, its well renowned CEO and Founder, and a key leader in advisory, financings and investments for the MENA, Asia and North American regions, Ghassan has had an extensive 27-year career in advisory, financings, investments and senior executive management roles of which two decades were spent with J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs. During these years, Ghassan was a senior Managing Director in Investment Banking and then CEO of the MENA region and later gained oversight for Turkey and Central Asia as well. This enabled him to develop first class advisory and capital markets technical expertise, intimate knowledge of the regions he ran from all aspects, and very close relationships at the most senior decision making levels within the governments, financial institutions, corporations and family offices. Under his leadership, he firm has worked diligently to help both the public and private sector institutions develop and prosper throughout the MENA region.
