Queensgate Law is a relationship-based legal practice providing advice and transaction support to emerging managers of investment funds, family offices and PE/venture-backed corporate clients. We help clients who need access to senior in-house legal counsel on an on-going basis. We side with the business and structure and support transactions demanding a legal lens, across jurisdictions. We don’t sit on the payroll but we get to know the business 360 degrees. Our clients are experienced purchasers of legal services looking for value-add know-how and big-law pedigree without the law firm limitations: we represent the business to its counterparties with gravitas, we help the client build a legal function to scale up, we procure and manage outside advisors (we are not a substitute for law firm advice on critical complex matters), we advise the board at the high end and review NDAs at the low, we run the legal workstream in a transaction and free up the principals' own bandwidth to run their business. The principal has 20 years of experience as a transactions lawyer in three markets (London, East Europe, New York), of which 8 years out of London.
