The Governance Clinic is a specialist provider of professional training, advisory services and corporate transaction support in the field of UK company law and corporate governance. Our passion and purpose is to equip business professionals and their organisations to Thrive Responsibly through the application of good corporate governance. We strongly believe that raising awareness and building in-house skills and techniques in this area results in better businesses with more resilience, less risk and the environment for good decisions - protecting stakeholder interests and increasing investibility. We fulfil this purpose in two main ways: Firstly, we offer professional training, guidance, advice and tips for aspiring in-house governance, secretariat and business professionals, directors, executives, managers, assistants and any teams or colleagues with an interest in corporate governance. We accelerate practical learning by sharing real in-house corporate governance / boardroom experiences and know-how. This equips those growing into their roles, at whatever level, to immediately start making valuable contributions to their organisation's governance. Secondly, we provide consulting and 'hands-on' transaction support services to larger corporate clients, whether listed, VC/privately owned, or in public sector ownership. We specialise in governance improvement projects, IPO readiness work, standing up Governance/Secretariat functions and internal group reorganisations that deliver the desired outcomes for the client. We consider any governance-related assignment, however large or small, where we can make a lasting, positive difference to our individual clients and their organisations.
