Founded in 2021, Little Wing Collective is a social and economic justice initiative that engages in: - partnering with individuals and organizations working to build a more inclusive and regenerative economy - investing in underinvested communities and participating in community revitalization and community development efforts in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods in Chicago - working with those seeking to drive public and private capital into commercial corridors and small businesses in disinvested communities - providing patient and flexible growth capital to businesses that traditionally face barriers to raising capital - investing in early-stage venture funds and private equity funds that invest in companies advancing critical climate solutions - making private investments, primarily limited partner interests and other minority investments, in lower middle market equity funds and companies - through Little Wing Fund, supporting nonprofit organizations, particularly community-based hyperlocal groups, that provide housing, health services, mental health services, education, access to arts, environmental justice and a variety of other social services to communities and individuals in need.
