Cottonwood Acquisitions is a family office that has acquired 11 businesses with $1 to $10 million of cash flow in niche industries, most often from retiring individual Sellers. We typically acquire great businesses and follow the recipe that the Seller created to make them great, rather than trying to "fix" them. We invest for the long term, with no intent to resell the businesses, and harvest the cash flows to acquire additional companies. Sellers choose us because we are experienced in closing deals, are easy to work with and pride ourselves on being nice and honest partners. Through our "CEO on Deck" program, we hire high potential managers early in their careers that want to have a shot at being CEO and thirst for the autonomy, mastery and responsibility that comes with that role. When we close a new acquisition, one of these individuals steps in to be the day to day CEO. We are generalists, however some industries of interest include: - Niche manufacturing and distribution - Mitigation and restoration services - Architectural products, building materials and engineered products - eCommerce - Pool supplies, equipment & parts - Fiber optic and laser component manufacturing and distribution - Trade and programming schools - Reusable material handling bins, shipping containers, molded containers & crating - Adhesives manufacturing & distribution - Autism services (ABA therapy and related) and special needs schools - Legal services such as records retrieval, technology enabled court reporting and electronic filing and litigation support services - Cyber security services - Supply houses - Healthcare
