Meridian Health Ventures
Meridian Health Ventures is the first NHS-anchored and transatlantic venture capital Fund, investing in clinical innovators and enabling adoption of transformative solutions at scale. Formerly known as KHP Ventures, the firm initially launched in 2021 with the support of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London, one of the largest teaching hospital systems in the UK and Europe. Meridian Health Ventures has since expanded its first fund to work with other leading health systems and mission-driven health investors across the UK and in the US, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). The fund invests across pre-seed, seed and Series A, and has partnered with growing portfolio of best-in-class ventures in digital health, MedTech and enterprise software. The firm also launched Europe’s first dedicated mental health tech fund in October 2024, with Wellcome Trust as anchor investor and in partnership with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The Innovations in Mental Health fund supports innovators addressing depression, anxiety, and psychosis-related disorders.
