Grid is a solutions-oriented news platform currently operating in Richmond, VA and Charlottesville, VA. Grid is designed to celebrate makers, storytellers, and community builders. Grid's goal is to share stories about people inspired by a purpose beyond themselves. Grid Publishing is interested in hard work, humility, authenticity, and stewardship. And most of all, people who roll up their sleeves and push their communities forward. As a certified B Corporation, Grid produce digital content and a quarterly print publication that features the local community at its best — from startup owners to creators to civic leaders. Grid delivers magazines by bike whenever possible, prints on FSC-certified paper, uses soy-based ink, and donates a portion of our advertising space to local nonprofits. Grid also operates a maker shop, Grid Supply Co., that features collaborations with craftspeople and local artists.
