Keep Oklahoma Beautiful
Keep Oklahoma Beautiful (KOB) empowers people across our state to protect and improve the natural beauty of their own communities. We bring together volunteers in rural towns, cities, schools, tribal nations, and businesses to help build a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant Oklahoma. Every year, thousands of Oklahomans roll up their sleeves with KOB. In 2025 alone, over 12,000 volunteers gave more than 50,000 hours of their time to remove 7.6 million pounds of litter and recycling, clean up 47 illegal dumpsites, and plant thousands of trees, flowers, and shrubs. We also supported 141 education events to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders. KOB programs include: 🌱 Affiliate Program – Join over 70 Oklahoma communities working year-round to keep their hometowns clean and beautiful 🛣 Keep Route 66 Beautiful – Helping towns along the Mother Road shine for its 100th anniversary 🧼 Great American Cleanup – Free cleanup supplies for any volunteer group ready to make a difference ♻️ Litter & Recycling Education – Educational workshops, tabling at Earth Festivals, and giving out scholarships for environmental awareness 🏆 Environmental Excellence Celebration – One beautiful night of fundraising and honoring those going above and beyond to make a difference in Oklahoma We work closely with state agencies like ODOT, OTA, and the Oklahoma Forestry Service, as well as local and tribal governments, to offer meaningful, place-based resources and support.
