Cadence Equity Partners is an independent UK lower mid-market private equity firm founded and led by Pieter Hooft and Jamie Szpiro. Cadence targets buy-out and growth capital investments in entrepreneurial businesses operating in the Applied Technology sector, either as single investments, portfolio transactions or fund mandates. This constitutes a continuation of our strategy implemented at LMS Capital where we successfully invested in companies such as Updata Infrastructure, Apogee Corporation, 365iTMS and Wesupply. All of our portfolio companies provide high value-added solutions and services through the use of technology and/or know-how. Cadence typically invests in companies with 25-100 employees, turnover of £10m-£50m and high levels of recurring revenue. Target businesses do not have to be profitable at investment but will have attractive gross margins, strong customer references and be poised for growth. We work closely with entrepreneurs and founders to develop and build exciting, innovative businesses which help their customers perform more effectively. Our investment strategy, empathetic approach and collegiate culture differentiate us from other sources of capital and uniquely position us to help accelerate growth and drive value within our portfolio companies. In December 2016, we took over a mandate for the £50m CNH fund, which includes portfolio companies, Parseq and Intelligent Environments.
