Avanzi Capital is a New York based SDG-aligned small buyout Private Equity firm that is intentional about reducing racial inequalities (SDG #10) and promoting gender equality (SDG #5). Avanzi Capital, which was founded in 2019, seeks to accomplish its mission by Equity Co-Investing alongside funded Private Equity firms, SBIC lenders, Mezzanine Lenders, and Family Offices to acquire well established family-owned companies from retiring or near-retiring owners in the United States in various industries with EBITDAs ranging from $1 to $3 million, but as low as $250 thousand for add-ons and as high as $7 million for platforms. After acquisition, we will implement a Theory of Change Plan to identify and transition in Sponsored Candidates who are black, women, indigenous, and people of color (B WI POC) to lead our portfolio companies and be responsible for the bottom line; equipping them with critically needed leadership and operating experience. Avanzi Capital will add value in the marketplace by providing the Private Equity Market with quality add-on deal opportunities as well as experienced underrepresented leaders and operators to serve on Boards, lead their companies, and to de-risk VC deals by pairing our proven underrepresented leaders and operators with visionary startup founders. By focusing on DE&I, the PE industry can create more equitable and inclusive places to work, attract better talent, redefine corporate culture, and set a standard for businesses everywhere (McKinsey). Trillions of dollars in Wealth will change hands this Decade from baby-boomer business-owners, and the question Avanzi Capital asked is “into whose hands will it go?” We are intentional about putting that Wealth in the hands of black, women, indigenous, and people of color (B WI POC).
