Iceni Seedcorn Fund
The Iceni Seedcorn Fund was established in 2002 under the University Challenge Fund scheme to help commercialise innovation and technological development derived from its six partner institutions: - University of East Anglia - The University of Essex - The John Innes Centre - The Sainsbury Laboratory - The Institute of Food Research - Plant Bioscience Limited The main aim of the Fund is to enable its partners to transform good research into successful businesses. Iceni's portfolipon currnet;ly comprises seven spin-out companies plus a number of "pathfinder" projects.
Iceni Seedcorn Fund focuses on early-stage seed investment and technology commercialization derived from academic research institutions in the UK, specifically targeting agritech, life sciences, and deep tech/software spin-outs.
