Fidus Capital is the external management company of Fidus Investment Corporation (www.fdus.com), a publicly traded (NASDAQ: FDUS) business development company (“BDC”) with over $900 million of assets under management. The Partners of Fidus Capital possess on average over 25 years of experience investing in, lending to, and advising lower middle market companies across a broad spectrum of industries. Fidus’ flexible investment capabilities enable it to invest throughout the capital structure, with targeted investments consisting of senior secured / unitranche debt, mezzanine / subordinated debt, and equity securities. Fidus also manages a lower middle market private equity fund targeting equity co-investments of $2 million to $7 million. Since 2007, Fidus has successfully invested more than $2 billion of capital in more than 150 founder-owned and private equity-backed companies and currently oversees more than 75 portfolio company investments. Fidus typically seeks to invest between $10 million to $100 million in companies with the following characteristics: - EBITDA greater than $5 million - Cash flow, recurring revenue-based and asset-backed credit facilities - Backed by financial sponsors, management teams, or business owners - Target Industry Focuses: Aerospace & Defense, Business Services, Consumer Products, Energy Services, Healthcare Products, Industrial, Infrastructure, Niche Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics, Software & Tech-Enabled Services and Value-Added Distribution.
