Description

At Curreen Capital, we are passionate about making smart long-term investments to make you more money. We are a concentrated global small cap value fund, and our investments meet three key criteria: 1) Excellent businesses - with durable after-tax returns on tangible capital above 20% 2) Exceptional management - who operate the business for long-term success and intelligently allocate capital to benefit shareholders 3) Undervalued securities - are available at a 5:1 or better upside-to-downside ratio Few businesses meet our criteria. We focus our search efforts on particularly attractive areas, especially where distortions and transformations are created by a company transacting directly with its shareholders (aka 'Special Situations'). Our fund invests in 5-15 positions which meet all three of our criteria, and we hold cash when we cannot identify investments that meet our standards. We often conduct 'cash management' transactions with this cash - various short term quantitative strategies with high expected values. Since the fund was launched in June 2013, investors have seen their investment grow significantly - easily outpacing both the S&P 500 and MSCI World indexes. We consider these two indices to be great investment options for long-term investors, so any stock investment fund must be able to beat them over time. Curreen Capital's performance continues to demonstrate that our investment strategy is sound and delivers real results for investors.
