The Institute for Applied Science Inc.
The Institute for Applied Science (IAS) is a Washington-based technology group that commercializes scientific R&D and Intellectual Property developed in national labs and in the private sector. IAS was founded in 1997 to assist international science for peace cooperation, science commercialization, economic development and nonproliferation efforts in the aftermath of the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the establishment of newly independent states in Europe, the Black Sea and Eurasia. IAS continues to promote international science for peace and security and to commercialize technologies meeting internationally identified science & technology shortfalls working closely with the NATO science for peace program in NATO member and partner states. IAS has significant experience in economic development through science & technology commercialization with expertise in energy, environment, personal protective equipment (PPE) and the development of a sustainable blue ocean economy.
