Description

UAF Partners is sponsoring a private equity fund for investments in Ukraine (the “Fund”). Our goal is to invest in the reconstruction of the country and help revitalize companies in key sectors of the economy through partnering with local entrepreneurs and industry. Initial fundraising up to $500 million will emphasize accelerating growth, advancing sustainability, and propelling employment within the middle market. We intend to close on the initial Fund when the security situation improves and the investment climate is sufficiently stable, and in the meantime, UAF will be working with investors on a deal-by-deal basis. While we are not industry-limited, acquisitions and investments will be focused on key industries to forward a generational catapult through the reconstruction of economy and infrastructure: I) agriculture business, inputs and logistics; II) construction materials and infrastructure support; III) technology and telecommunications; IV) fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and manufacturing companies; and V) energy. Our direct equity investments are targeted in the range of $10 - $50 million, with the ability to co-invest with partners for larger projects. To fulfill this these objectives, UAF Partners operates with a unique team of investment partners providing operational expertise in strategy, management and organization structure, operations, sales and marketing, as well as capital and risk management. We believe this comprehensive knowledge, combined with local and regional expertise across disciplines, operating and turnaround experience, investment expertise, as well as capabilities to leverage international connectivity – provides the opportunity to maximize project returns in these sectors. UAF is already active in-country both directly and through our Operating Partners. Our Partners have a long history of partnering with management teams to help create value for all stakeholders.
