Our story begins in 1949 when Horace Hildreth Sr., the former governor of Maine, president of Bucknell University and U.S. ambassador to Pakistan, purchased the license for WABI-AM in Bangor, Maine USA. His desire to educate and inform what was an under-served community became the bedrock for all future growth and development. From radio to television and cable, publishing to trade shows and conferences, and wind farms to solar arrays, Diversified is committed to fostering prosperity and sustainability in communities and industries, both local and global. Today, Diversified is still owned and operated by the Hildreth family. Our global team of 500+ employees operate six B2B companies that are primarily focused on trade media such as exhibitions, conferences, print and digital publications, and online communities. We continue to expand through acquisition of B2B-focused, local and global operating companies.
