With committed capital from 15 entrepreneurial, long-term investors, Tinto Hill is looking to acquire profitable UK-based businesses with profits between £1m-£5m, healthy margins, high recurring revenue, and the potential to grow. We offer a different value proposition to traditional private equity and trade buyers as we look to take an immediate active role in managing an acquired company (allowing sellers to make a clean, quick exit). Our time horizon is very long (potentially indefinite) and we look to build upon the legacy of previous owners rather than quickly flip acquisitions for a quick profit or split companies up and add them to a larger organisation. Because of our structure, we are able to offer significantly more flexibility than other buyers and are able to offer the stability that sellers often look for - for example, the knowledge that their staff will be looked after over the coming years.
