Lomax, Jr., MD (pictured treating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr) converted a row home and grocery store in South Philadelphia into a full-service community medical center. Following his retirement from the practice of medicine after 32 years, Dr. Lomax and his children founded, built and exited two health insurance companies.
