Rob — from the looks of things, we share a roughly similar path — both started in banking (you at BofA Securities and Deutsche Banc, me at Credit Suisse and Greenhill) before moving to the investing side. so figured it made sense to reach out. also, and perhaps relevant to you, we've been building custom deal origination systems for PE funds acquiring founder and family-owned businesses. Not identical to Sojourner's mandate but close enough — established brands, consumer products, owner-operated. One of our clients, Backer Group, uses a system we built to source and engage founders of service and light manufacturing businesses. it scores targets on owner readiness and acquisition fit, then runs personalized outreach across LinkedIn, email, and even physical letters — all integrated with their CRM. They're a small team, so the system basically handles origination in the background while they focus on deals and the portfolio.
